First Bank Adjust Opening, Closing Time For Branches

First Bank of Nigeria Limited has announced a revised opening and closing time for its branches across the country.

A release containing the list of branches and their operating time did not however give a reason for the action. Eighteen-Eleven Media scooped that the bank’s action may not be unconnected with increasing operating costs, particularly the high cost of diesel for power generating sets used in branches.

The release simply says, “We have revised our banking hours across all our locations. The revised opening and closing hours will be effective from Monday, 11 April 2022.”

Branches operate from 8 am to 1 pm based on their locations, others from 8 am to 2 pm, 8 am to 3 pm and 8 am to 4 pm.

The release further stated that alternative and digital channels are available and accessible 24/7 anywhere and anytime to meet customers’ banking needs.
