Italy Out Of World Cup 2022, Portugal To Face North Macedonia

North Macedonia will play Portugal for a place in the 2022 Qatar World Cup after beating Italy 1-0.

Roberto Mancini’s side dominated the game and registered 32 shots but they ultimately could not find the back of the net.

Aleksandar Trajkovski struck in injury time to pile the misery on Italy, who missed out on a second consecutive World Cup.

Meanwhile, Portugal beat Turkey 3-1. First-half goals from Otavio and Diogo Jota gave them a comfortable lead at the break. The visitors pulled one back through Burak Yilmaz, who had played a wonderful one-two with Cengiz Under.

Turkey could’ve got on level terms but Yilmaz failed to convert a penalty five minutes from time before Matheus Nunes wrapped up the win for Portugal deep into injury time.
