Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo will travel to Marrakesh in the upcoming days, to open his “Pestana CR7” hotel, the first of its kind on the African continent.

The hotel was meant to open in 2020, but the pandemic delayed the opening for close to 18 months.

Ronaldo will be accompanied by his girlfriend Georgina and several world stars who will attend the opening ceremony of the new hotel.

The luxury hotel of Portuguese star Ronaldo in the Moroccan city of Marrakech will open its doors soon, according to local media.

The new establishment is said to have just been completed, after several postponements and delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The impressive and luxurious hotel is expected to cost visitors a hefty 200 euros a night.

The hotel is composed of 174 rooms and has 20,000 m2 of commercial space, a business centre of 4,500 m2 and a luxury clinic that has been erected in the heart of the Gardens of Hay Menara for the sum of MAD 430 million ($47 million).

The newest Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels are designed for “Generation Y” clientele in search of a quiet paradise for work and leisure. It has two restaurants, a business centre, and a spa.

Ronaldo had visited Marrakesh back in 2019 to see the progress of the construction of his hotel, as it was originally scheduled to open in 2020.

Ronaldo opened his first hotel in his hometown of Funchal, Portugal in 2016, and then the following year he opened a branch of the hotel in Lisbon, Portugal’s capital.
