Lady Found Dead Near Busy Abuja Junction, Police Launch Investigation

THE Federal Capital Territory Police Command has begun investigations into the death of a yet-to-be-identified lady whose body was found after Mpape Junction in Abuja.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said on Friday that the Mabushi Divisional Headquarters of the Command had evacuated the body, adding that investigations were ongoing to identify the lady.

“Mabushi Division took the body to the hospital yesterday. We have yet to identify who she is. We are still investigating, “she said.

An X user had posted photos of the unidentified lady on Thursday, noting that no form of identification was found on the corpse to get through to her family and relatives.

“This young girl was found dead this morning, after Mpape junction around Abuja top bridge that connects Berger and AYA. They couldn’t find any useful information about her or any I.D. to get through to her family and relatives,” she wrote.

In another post hours later, she said: “Hi guys good afternoon, thank you all for your repost/your tags we’ve been able to gather information about her and reached out to her family in Benue State, may her soul find rest.”

Responding to the tweets, some users had alleged the possibility that she was a ‘one chance’ victim, noting the removal of all forms of identification from her.
