NPFL: Heartland Management Places Players On Half-Salary

THE management of the Nigeria Premier League side Heartland FC has placed players and officials on half-salary until there is evidence of improved performances from them.

The decision of the management of the Owerri-based team may not be unconnected with its poor midweek outing where it lost 1-5 to Plateau United at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba.

According to the club General Manager, Promise Nwachukwu, the poor result recorded yesterday goes beyond coaching fault. He said, in his entire stay at the club, he has not seen the team playing so poorly as if nothing was as stake as seen against Plateau United yesterday

The Nazi millionaires, who are bottom of the league table, have now lost ten matches out of 22 games played so far this season. They are sure to feature in the NNL next session.
