THE Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a former Chairman of Oyo Park Management System, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi Auxiliary.

The ex-aide of Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde was arrested around 4.00 pm on Tuesday in his House at Olodo in Ibadan and was driven along Ogungbade Road, linked to Ibadan/Expressway.

The development comes nearly a year after Auxiliary was declared wanted by the police over cases bordering on attempted murder, arms dealing, murder, armed robbery, and kidnapping at the Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa axis of the state.

The police had in June 2023 raided a hotel belonging to the 61-year-old Auxiliary and recovered arms, ammunition, cash, and charms.

He was said to have escaped during the raid which led to the arrest of 78 other suspects said to be loyal to him.

The allegation comes days after Oyo State governor Seyi Makinde ordered the dissolution of the Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System (PMS) headed by Alhaji Mukaila Auxiliary.

However, Auxiliary,  while speaking on a live radio programme on Fresh FM 105.9 Ibadan amid the allegations, said that the police could not declare him wanted because he did not fight anyone.

He added that all the allegations levied against him are not correct; hence the police cannot declare him wanted.

Lamidi, who spoke in Yoruba language, added that he would support whatever the state governor, Seyi Makinde wants.

He spoke further that he had warned his followers not to fight anyone because no one can fight the government and go away with it.

“I am not against what the boss said. But the allegation of wanted levied against me is not my own because I did not fight. I did nothing.

“All the policemen that went to gather guns, please, a warrior is bigger than a hunter, even if I have such things, will I keep them in my own house? Am I a fool?

“On the issue of transport union, I will support whatever Governor Makinde wants. I am not against him. I cannot fight the government. If he says that I am there, and if he says that I am not there, so shall it be. But, I am still PDP to the core.

“Because Makinde is my benefactor, he has done well for me. Seye Otunba too. They are my benefactors. I will support whatever they want.

“I am saying that anyone who fights will be arrested by the government because I did not tell them to fight. When, I as the leader, have said that they should not fight. I told them that I am in support of whatever the governor wants,” he said.
