1. Your Excellency, kindly permit me to use this medium to appraise your recent political journey. I am writing with tears and pain in my heart because you have destroyed the psyche of an average Rivers youth. We have seen administrations come and go, but yours has entrenched corruption, under-development, killings, hatred, violence, incompetence, mediocrity, abuse of power, illegality and treachery.

2. Sir, Immediately you were sworn in for the second term as the executive governor of Rivers State, your ambition to become the President of Nigeria was conceived, birthed and nurtured.

3. Sir, the next cruel step you undertook was to begin a massive looting of Rivers resources which you dashed away to any state governor that approves your fantasy, either real or fake.

4. From Akwa Akwa Ibom to Benue, to Sokoto, to Cross River, to Bayelsa, to Edo, to Delta, to Abia, to Enugu, to Oyo, to Lagos and many more states have been gifted Rivers money by you without following due process. Simply because you told yourself a white lie – that you can be President of Nigeria.

5. The dream to become Mr. President pushed you to build a second Government House at Rumueprikom, which you have cornered for yourself. You looted Rivers money to buy off almost ten streets adjourning your house. Only carpenters church refused to yield to that your greedy acquisition.

6. Sir, majority of those who took our money dumped you. They played you. They duped Rivers State because the money is not yours.  Where is Governor Tambuwal of Sokoto State? You dashed him N500m. Where is Governor Diri of Bayelsa? You built a law school for them. Where is Governor Obaseki of Edo? You funded his second tenure. Where is Akwa Ibom?

7. Sir, if Rivers State was your private company or business, would you have thrown away your money the way you did, and is doing, to our money? Will you have allowed men to dupe you without legal action to recover the loot?

8. Sir, you are a lawyer. Your wife is a judge. You have always claimed to be an adherent of justice. Can you sue all the governors and states that duped you of our money?

9. Sir, before, during and after the presidential primaries, we saw a high level of financial wastage ever witnessed in our dear state. You bought hundreds of buses, hoping that you will win, to use them for national campaign. When you lost, you refused to sell them off to recover our money, rather you dashed them off to those who have duped us.

10. Sir, during the primaries, in your desperation to win Atiku, which is impossible, you wasted billions of Rivers’ money on delegates. They duped Rivers State because the money belong to us.

11. Sir, immediately you lost out on the Presidency, OUR DUPERS set you up with the vice presidential ticket. In your love and desperation for power, you paid them ‘wotowoto’. They squeezed you and disappeared. You came home crying because we have been duped heavily one more time.

12. Sir, since you encountered those colossal losses, you have been behaving very strangely. Your language, dressing, walking, dancing and manner of speaking have been strange too.

13. You have turned everybody into enemy and opposition except for a few GDI members that serve as backup singers and your ego massagers during your public shows assisted by Bro Felix Obua and Amb Desmond Akawor.

14. Sir, you have since severed your relationship with PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. PDP has rejected you. Your “Ayu must go” campaign is our second national anthem on the streets of Port Harcourt and communities in Rivers where you go for public shows. Back home, you are fighting with all your brothers who have decided to remain in PDP and support Atiku, while you campaign with an unregistered political NGO called GDI.

15. Sir, are you aware that you are no longer a member of PDP? You are a member of GDI. Sir, is GDI a political party? Sir, what brand of politics are you playing with your G-5 group?

16. Sir, I heard you have decided to support Asiwaju of APC for president. This was the same man you abused during your dream days of becoming Mr. President. You told Nigerians that a man who contributed to electing Buhari can’t be our president. Today, you ran to Asiwaju for political refuge.

17. Sir, having been chased out of PDP, you may likely be on your way to the APC. In politics, nobody is rejected. High-profile politicians of your calibre are usually received with funfair.

18. The Rivers APC is waiting with open hands to receive you. We will also receive your GDI Guber candidate, Sim Fubara and every other GDI candidate that decides to defect with you. There is no point in delaying. Make your decision public. Your boss and leader of Rivers APC, Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi; High Chief Emeka Beke, Rivers APC chairman, Pastor Tonye Cole, Rivers APC guber candidate will receive you with joy.

19. Sir, you are a great politician, but this time you have out-played yourself. You have played over the bar. You have lost the game. They said the monkey is smart. It is because the tree near tree. Separate the trees and the monkey will be injured. Sir, you have gotten a fatal political injury, and your recovery is not in sight.

20. You Excellency, now that you have accepted to work for APC’s Asiwaju for president. I want to inform you that Asiwaju’s choice of governor in Rivers State is Pastor Tonye Cole. Secondly, Asiwaju’s choice for your Senatorial District is Dr. Ndubuisi Nwankwo. He will represent Rivers East Senatorial District at the red chambers. Kindly mobilize your defected GDI members to vote for them across board for all APC members.

21. Sir, remember men of power in your calibre don’t beg nor surrender. Ayu must go, or else you will never support Atiku. This fight must be sustained to the very end. Keep fighting all your enemies. Ensure no reconciliation. I know you very well. Certainly, they will come and beg you as the owner and landlord of Rivers State.

While hoping to send you the second part of this letter, I wish you a safe landing in APC.

Respectfully,

David Oguzierem

Director General, Tonye Cole Associates
