Robbers Raid Yinka Ayefele’s Radio Station During Live Broadcast
A three-member armed robbery gang reportedly raided the Challenge, Ibadan office of Fresh FM, a private radio station owned by the Tungba Music crooner Yinka Ayefele.
Eighteen-Eleven Media gathered that the incident occurred early this morning even when a live transmission was on. The robbers were said to have dispossessed staff on duty of laptops, phones and other personal effects.
No one sustains any injury in the 6:15 am incident.
A staff member, Kenny Ogunmiloro, confirmed the incident in a post on Twitter.
He tweeted: “Nowhere is safe again, not even radio stations are spared again in the porous level of insecurity in the country
“My radio station was robbed by 3 armed men this morning around 6.15 am. Phones, laptops, ATM cards, and gadgets were taken away but no one was hurt. This is sad”, Ogunmiloro started.
It could not be ascertained at press time if the incident was reported at any police station.
