Sagamu LG First Executive Chairman, Bayode Oluwole, Dies At 84

A political icon, leader, stalwart and chieftain of the Ogun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bayode Omololu Oluwole is dead.

Oluwole was reported to have died at age 84 at Babcock University Teaching Hospital in Ilishan Remo, on the evening of Saturday 23rd, March 2024, after a brief illness.

A source close to the son of the deceased, Asiwaju Bolariwa Oluwole (ABO) in Sagamu confirmed the incident to Genesis Media Hub via phone call.

It is on record that Chief Oluwole was the first Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government Area, elected into office in 1991 — 1993. He was also the Bobajiroro of Remo Land, The Aremo of Arowosugbo of Ojowo Ijebu Igbo, The Aro of Latawa Sagamu, Olofin of Ibido, Sagamu, and the Balogun of Methodist Church, Ijoku Sagamu.

Families, friends, associates and party members of the PDP in Sagamu and Ogun State have also commiserated with the PDP Remo Federal House of Representatives candidate in the 2023 general elections Asiwaju Bolariwa Oluwole (ABO) over the demise of his father, as well as to all the entire children and family members of the late patriarch of the Oluwole’s family.

Report has it that Oluwole’s transition at this trying time of the party, PDP, is not only sad but traumatic.
