We Are Prepared To Deal Decisively With Political Party Stalwarts Fomenting Trouble — Ogun Police Command
The Ogun State Police Command has called on parents and guardians to rein in their children and wards as anyone caught fomenting trouble in any part of the state under any guise during the electioneering period will be dealt with in “the most decisive manner”.
The Command, in a release made available to Eighteen-Eleven Media by SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),
appealed to members of various political parties to eschew violence and go about their campaigns peacefully.
The Command, while stating that it was satisfied with the peaceful conduct of parties so far, enjoined them to sustain the tempo.
“The Command also wishes to appeal to candidates of all the parties to advise their supporters on the need for them to play the game according to the rule, and make their campaign issue-based rather than attacking one another.
“Also, the Command wishes to assure the general public of their safety as robust security arrangements have been put in place to forestall any form of breakdown of law and order.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, while wishing the political parties hitch-free electioneering campaign, enjoined
parents to call their wards to order, as anyone caught fomenting trouble in any part of the state, under any guise will be dealt with most decisively”.
