BREAKING!: Ex-Minister, Ogbonanya Onu Is Dead
FORMER Minister of Science and Technology during the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, is dead.
Dr Onu CON, (1951-2024), the first civil governor of Abia State reportedly died after a brief illness in an undisclosed hospital in Nigeria.
Mourners have reportedly besieged his Abuja home to express condolences and pray for his soul, although the family is yet to issue any statement regarding the development as of press time.
Ogbonnaya Onu CON, was a Nigerian politician, author and engineer. The 72-year-old politician contested for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2022 primary but lost to Ahmed Tinubu.
He was the first civilian governor of Abia State and was the minister of science, technology and innovation of Nigeria from November 2015 until his resignation in 2022.
