EX-SUPER Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro is reported to have open talks with the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) with the country’s national football team in the centre of the mix.

According to Nigerian media outlet ‘Own Goal Nigeria,’ the Portuguese gaffer, who led Nigeria to a second-place finish in the just-ended Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023, is in talks with FECAFOOT to become the new coach of the Indomitable Lions.

Peseiro left the Super Eagles shortly after the AFCON, as both parties could not agree on a contract extension.

The manager will reportedly earn a monthly salary of $100,000 (60.2 million CFA) if he lands the Cameroon job, and Samuel Eto’o has reportedly contacted the Cameroon government in a bid to negotiate his demands.
