National Sports Festival: Ogun State’s Athletes Protest Meagre Allowances, Threaten Boycott
Team Ogun’s departure to Asaba for the National Sports Festival has been put on hold.
This is because athletes are protesting over what they called a meagre daily allowance for the duration of the festival.
The state government is offering ₦60,000 for each athlete for 12 days but the athletes are asking for a flat rate of ₦100,000.
